Since September 2023, Stadsburcht has been under restoration.
Step by step, all maintenance and repairs are carried out on facades, construction elements, plasterwork, woodwork and roofing. Of course, floors and stair cladding will be done at the very end.

A striking example:
Stadsburcht has no fewer than forty windows, but they are particularly easy to maintain.

All these classic window frames, as intended in the original design, can be dismantled. The sliding windows, skylights and casement windows can be placed on trestles in the blink of an eye, for repairs and painting. Anchored frames can be safely maintained from inside using a lightweight indoor scaffold. You can reach everything.

All sash windows will be equipped with new ropes. The ropes will be attached with simple screws, making the whole system more maintenance friendly.
