Roof garden
Enjoy a panoramic view from the Stadsburcht!
A staircase at the top floor leads you to a door that gives access to the roof garden.
On the south and west side you can look out over houses and in the distance you can see cranes in the harbour area.
From the north side you have a clear view over the rooftops and the horizon reaches all the way to the university buildings in Delft. From the east side, alongside the roof conservatory of the neighbours, you can see the skyline of Rotterdam with its beautiful high-rise buildings.
The roof garden has been in place for over forty years Often such features will cause drainage issues, but the roof under the garden has never leaked. The garden is currently being restored to its former glory: new wooden decking and planters with flowers, shrubs, even trees. New potential
Several neighbours have received a permit from the municipality to build a variety of different structures on their roofs. Therefore, there is no reason to assume that such will not be granted to Stadsburcht.
